Recognizing and celebrating the important roles and contributions of educators is the focus of Teacher’s Appreciation Week, this year being celebrated the week of May 5-9.

Teachers are often the most significant role models for our children, outside of the home. Many adults who have had notable lifetime successes and accomplishments credit the influence of a particular teacher, instructor or professor. From their formative years throughout the remainder of their young adulthood, educators who invest in a child’s life can be instrumental in directing their character, their path and their life choices.

“We have amazing, dedicated, caring teachers working hard every day to guide, nurture and support our students,” says Granite Falls School District Superintendent, Linda Hall.

“Please take a moment to send a quick email or card to a teacher that you know,” continued Superintendent Hall. “Thank them for the positive impact they have on our students, on our schools, on our community and on our future!”
